Best Bets: Concerts you should probably check out

Shark Week will perform with Paperhaus at Rock & Roll Hotel Friday, June 7.

So, this week starts out pretty slow, but come Thursday, there are a ton of awesome shows to check out. Notably absent from this week’s Best Bets is Steez Promo’s Moonrise Festival. The EDM festival was due to rock Baltimore’s Sun Park this weekend, but permit issues forced the cancellation of the festival last week. Steez Promo has indicated that they are working to reschedule some of the Moonrise artists at different venues in the area this weekend, we will let you know when/if more information becomes available.

There was a coherent, whimsical theme all throughout the festival grounds Saturday. The whole place felt like a big, loud farmer’s market. There was an emphasis on local vendors (food trucks, DC Brau and Chocolate City beer vendors) and everything just seemed to work better.

As for the music, here’s a blow-by-blow of our day at Sweetlife: Continue reading
