Best Bets: Concerts you should probably check out
So, this week starts out pretty slow, but come Thursday, there are a ton of awesome shows to check out. Notably absent from this week’s Best Bets is Steez Promo’s Moonrise Festival. The EDM festival was due to rock Baltimore’s Sun Park this weekend, but permit issues forced the cancellation of the festival last week. Steez Promo has indicated that they are working to reschedule some of the Moonrise artists at different venues in the area this weekend, we will let you know when/if more information becomes available.

New Music Round-Up
In our preoccupation with Fall Out Boy’s comeback effort, we let a handful of good/great albums go unmentioned. Sorry about that one.
To make it up to you, here is a round-up of this week’s highlights. This is probably the strongest week of new releases so far this year. Let us know what you think in the comment section.
The Shouting Matches, Grownass Man
Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon debuted his blues-rock trio at Coachella last weekend. Think of it as a more accessible version of Bon Iver. It is kind of wild to hear Justin Vernon exert some energy. Being giant blues-rock geeks, its hard to not fantasize about a Justin Vernon/Jack White collabo after hearing this album.
Charli XCX dropped her full-length debut this week. The result is a nearly flawless dance-pop album. You may recognize Charli XCX from Icona Pop’s smash-hit, “I Love It.” Some tracks exhibit that same catchy, fuck-it kind of attitude, but True Romance has a moody vibe to it that gives the music a little more depth.
