It is that time of year when all us music media folk release all those tedious “best of” lists. I could spend a lot of time giving you a little write up on each song, but that would just be a waste of both our time. Instead, here is a Spotify playlist loaded with 100 of the hottest jams 2013 had to offer.

Video: Mash-up master Girl Talk back in action
A lot of people thought the whole mash-up trend had run its course. Not if Gregg Gillis has anything to do with it. Gillis–better known as Girl Talk–was in Charlotte, N.C., over the weekend and unleashed a couple blazing hot mash-ups that paired Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky” with Michael Jackson’s “Remember the Time,” and Kanye West’s “Black Skinhead” with Marilyn Manson’s “Beautiful People.”
Hopefully this means a new Girl Talk album is on the way. We cannot wait for his set at Rock the Bells.

New Music: Daft Punk – “Get Lucky (feat. Pharrell Williams & Nile Rogers)”
Let the hysteria begin. Daft Punk has unearthed the first track of its much anticipated album, Random Access Memories. The reclusive French robot duo teams up with Skateboard P and Niles Rogers for a straight-up disco pop track that bodes well for the rest of the album.
Random Access Memories is slated for a May 17 release date.
UPDATE: Daft Punk denies Coachella rumors

It looks like VEVO was just toying with our emotions, folks. Rolling Stone ran a statement from a Daft Punk rep debunking rumors of a Coachella appearance and crushing the hopes and dreams of many a festival-goer.
The French electronic duo is fodder for festival rumors every year, but this year’s rumors seemed more believable with the impending release of Random Access Memories, the group’s first studio album since 2006.
BREAKING: DAFT PUNK AT COACHELLA 2013?
The reclusive robot duo’s VEVO page may have spoiled a huge surprise for this year’s Coachella Music & Arts festival. If you look at the bar on the right, it seems to indicate Daft Punk will be performing at Empire Polo Field on April 12, 2013. In summation: Holy fucking shit.
