DMVicious’ 100 Best Songs of 2013
It is that time of year when all us music media folk release all those tedious “best of” lists. I could spend a lot of time giving you a little write up on each song, but that would just be a waste of both our time. Instead, here is a Spotify playlist loaded with 100 of the hottest jams 2013 had to offer.
Songs are in no particular order. Put that bad-boy on shuffle and enjoy.

Brett remixes Teen Mom’s “I Wanna Go Out”
Brett just dropped this super chill remix of Teen Mom’s “I Wanna Go Out.” This remix would have fit perfectly on our Memorial Day BBQ playlist, but better late than never.
This track is just the latest example of the camaraderie among local bands, no matter the genre. Brett’s take on this track makes it sound like a totally different song. We really dig both, but the remix has a certain undeniable vibe to it. Check ’em out for yourself.

Catching Up With Brett’s Mick Coogan and Kevin Bayly
Five years ago, the local music scene in Washington, D.C., was dismal save for a few go-go bands and an up-and-coming rapper named Wale. Today, D.C. is home to a vibrant, exciting movement of indie bands and electronic acts that are poised to breakout at any moment.
On the forefront of that movement is Brett, a four-piece electronic-pop outfit churning out some undeniable dance-pop tracks that have resulted in an arsenal of impressive remixes by local DJs and producers. We caught up with the band’s Mick Coogan and Kevin Bayly before Brett’s show at The Dunes Saturday night (Photos here),
New Music: Brett – “Visions”
New music from D.C.’s own Brett. “Visions” is the latest release from what should be a pretty epic album released later this year.
