Wiz Khalifa’s “Under the Influence” tour rolls into Jiffy Lube Live on Thursday.

This week is full of huge tours hitting the area’s arenas and pavilions. The highlight of those tours is the “Under the Influence” tour which features Wiz Khalifa, A$AP Rocky, B.o.B., Trinidad Jame$, Joey Bada$$ & Pro Era and more. That is one hell of a hip-hop show. In our preoccupation with Fall Out Boy’s comeback effort, we let a handful of good/great albums go unmentioned. Sorry about that one.

Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon debuted his blues-rock trio at Coachella last weekend. Think of it as a more accessible version of Bon Iver. It is kind of wild to hear Justin Vernon exert some energy. Being giant blues-rock geeks, its hard to not fantasize about a Justin Vernon/Jack White collabo after hearing this album.

Charli XCX dropped her full-length debut this week. The result is a nearly flawless dance-pop album. You may recognize Charli XCX from Icona Pop’s smash-hit, “I Love It.” Some tracks exhibit that same catchy, fuck-it kind of attitude, but True Romance has a moody vibe to it that gives the music a little more depth.

Lollapalooza 2013 Lineup Announced

The official lineup has been announced for Perry Ferrell’s annual mega-festival.

Highlights include: The Cure, Mumford & Sons, the Killers, Nine Inch Nails, Phoenix, the Postal Service, Vampire Weekend, New Order, Queens of the Stone Age, the National, the Lumineers, Kendrick Lamar, Eric Church, Knife Party, Steve Aoki, Thievery Corporation, Major Lazer, Hot Chip, Local Natives, Two Door Cinema Club, 2 Chainz, Tegan and Sara, Lana Del Rey, Alt-J and many more.

Lollapalooza is set to engulf Chicago’s Grant Park August 2-4.

Glastonbury Festival announces stupid huge lineup.

It would probably be easier for the folks at Glastonbury Festival to just list the bands that are not playing this year.

Highlights include: Rolling Stones, Mumford & Sons, Dizzee Rascal, Vampire Weekend, Elvis Costello, the XX, Smashing Pumpkins, Alt-J, Two Door Cinema Club, Tame Impala, Alabama Shakes, Of Monsters and Men, the Lumineers, Public Enemy, the Weeknd, Major Lazer, Django Django, Dinosaur Jr., Phoenix, Tyler, the Creator, Nas… Oh fuck it, we’re tired of typing.
