BYT: TOP 25 DMV ARTISTS TO WATCH IN 2013
The ever-amazing folks at Brightest Young Things have compiled their list of the ‘Top 25 DMV Artists to Watch in 2013.’
BYT makes good on its promise and delivers a solid list of local artists poised to blow-up this year. It is crazy to see how many legitimately talented artists–especially rappers–reside in the area.
Our pick for “Most Likely to Succeed in 2013” is rapper Shy Glizzy.

Shy Glizzy has already made some waves on a national level. Last year, Twitter beef with Chief Keef led Glizzy to release “3 Milli,” a diss track targeted at the young Chicago firebrand.
With rap music going the way of young cats like Chief Keef and Trinidad Jame$ (read: style over substance), Shy Glizzy seems better positioned for breakout success than most of his DMV counterparts. He’s not the most clever or gifted emcee on the list, but that rarely has anything to do with success.
