So apparently, Girl Talk and Freeway have been working on a mixtape together. Both artists have been fairly tight-lipped about the project, but video of the two has emerged from a surprise show at Brooklyn Bowl last weekend. Good god, I am stoked to hear the rest of this project. That beat is filthy and Freeway is probably the most slept-on emcee in hip-hop.

What makes this sting even more, is that both artists were scheduled to perform at the ill-fated D.C. installment of the Rock the Bells festival the weekend before this show. If only Guerrilla Union knew how to properly promote a show on the east coast…
